Prior to the sessions, educators are encouraged sign up for Apple Teacher—a free professional learning program that has information, lesson ideas, and stories from educators about using our creativity and productivity apps to transform their classrooms.
The iPad is an incredibly powerful teaching and learning tool to support English Language learners and to create more accessible, relevant, and personalized content. This hands-on session will build foundational fluency with iPad and explore ways that it can support your students acquisition of language based concepts. In this session participants will explore the built-in features on iPad that help scaffold and support language acquisition. It will also explore how to leverage Apple technology to provide an authentic voice for all students students. The session will also focus on ideal workflows, navigating, customizing and personalizing iPad to suit your students’ needs. Participants will also be provided with a summary of key resources shared during the session.
