Getting Started with iPad as a Tool to Support Language Learners

The iPad is an incredibly powerful teaching and learning tool to support English Language learners and to create more accessible, relevant, and personalized content. This hands-on session will build foundational fluency with iPad and explore ways that it can support your students acquisition of language based concepts. In this session participants will explore the built-in features on iPad that help scaffold and support language acquisition. It will also explore how to leverage Apple technology to provide an authentic voice for all students students. The session will also focus on ideal workflows, navigating, customizing and personalizing iPad to suit your students’ needs. Participants will also be provided with a summary of key resources shared during the session.

In this session, learn to create rich, multi-media digital publications that can be used as digital portfolios for documenting student learning, or as stand-alone books to be shared with family and friends.
